Anne Alexander

Anne Alexander is an award-winning independent film producer and executive producer based in New York, and a founding partner of the production studio Cousins. Her credits include THE COME UP, an eight-part docu-series for Hulu and Freeform; NOSFERASTA: FIRST BITE, winner of the Tiger Shorts Award at IFFR; BYRON & SHELLEY: ILLUMINATI DETECTIVES; and Kehinde Wiley's PRELUDE, a six-screen installation commissioned by the National Gallery in London. She is currently in post-production on two narrative features set to premiere in late 2026.

Original unscripted series connected and produced for Freeform and Hulu. Directed by Cousins partners Ana Veselic and Jessica Chermayeff, this eight-part doc-follow series charted the lives and early careers of six young creatives as New York City roared back to life after the pandemic.

A non-linear time warp spanning 500 years of colonial destruction — setting the groundwork for the story of Oba, an immortal Rastafarian vampire, and Christopher Columbus, posing questions of authorship, collaboration, and myth. Commissioned by Spike Island, Gasworks, Creative Capitol, and Cinereach.

Written, starring, and directed by Leah Hennessey and Emily Allan. Re-imagines the secret lives of Romantic poets Percy Shelley and Lord Byron as sex and drug-addled members of the Illuminati sent around Europe to debunk mystical crimes. Commissioned by dis.art for the 2021 Biennale de l'image en Mouvement, Centre d'Art Contemporain, Geneva.

Kehinde Wiley: Prelude
Multi-Screen Film Installation
Producer
Three multi-screen installations directed by Kehinde Wiley for his galleries in Paris and London, plus his ambitious film Prelude — shot entirely in the fjords of Norway in March 2020. Both Prelude and Narrenschiff are held in permanent museum collections. Commissioned by the National Gallery, London.
